On 5th November 2006 Colin Carsten aboard Random Harvest, skippered by Andy Adams with a 12 ounce Allis Shad, caugh three miles south of Poole, weighed, photographed and returned to sea.
(The allis shad is protected under Schedule 5 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act (1981) in respect of section 9(1) so it is an offence to intentionally kill, injure or take specimens.
